2022 Pinot Noir, Sun Chase Vineyard

Part of what gives Sun Chase its uniquely special character is the vineyard’s exposure to intense high-elevation sunlight, well-draining rocky soils, and the brisk maritime winds cascading through the Petaluma Gap to the Pacific Ocean. This distinctive environment shapes the grapes, resulting in a wine with exceptionally concentrated flavors. The resulting wine offers a lively combination of bright, high-acid fruit, with shimmering notes of raspberry and wild cherry. Subtle undertones of savory blackberry and quince add depth, enhanced by the influence of the mountain sun.
